CS series Potentiostat/Galvanostat is all equipped with the function of ZRA(zero resistance ammeter) where no voltage or current is needed to apply on the measuring system.
Therefore, ZRA can also be called Open Circuit Technique.

The electrode connection way in ZRA is different from that of general electrochemical testing. In ZRA the connection way is as follows:
- WE (green) clamp connects to the sample.
- RE(yellow) clamp connects to reference electrode.
- CE(red) clamp is not used.
ZRA is usually applied in Galvanic corrosion and electrochemical noise (EN).
