How should I know if the reference electrode i'm using is good or need replacement?

Prepare a new reference electrode (same type as the reference electrode you’re using, eg both Ag/AgCl RE).
Then put the two electrodes(this new and the one you're using) in a small beaker containing saturated KCl solution, and measure the potential difference between them by a potentiostat or digital voltmeter. If the potential difference is higher than 10mV, you should refresh the filling solution of the electrode you’re using at once, or directly change for a new one.
