What's the cause of big current noise in CV?

Source:Corrtest Time:2021-12-02 View:0
The normal curve in CV test should be as follows:

CV curve of Pt electrode in 0.01mol/L K4[Fe(CN)6]+0.1mol/L KCl solution

If big noise appears, the cause could be:
1.The inner solution is dried up in RE. Under this circumstance, the resistance becomes bigger, causing current oscillation within the potentiostat.
2.The solution in the inner tube of the salt bridge leaks. As a result, there may be no contact between the inner and the outer solution. Therefore the resistance of the RE circuit increases, leading to current ot potential oscillation. (please replace the agar solution on a regular base with agar’s aging.)
3. The crocodile clamp is not well connected and cause open circuit.
