On Oct. 24th, 2018, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was officially opened to traffic. The bridge spans the Lingding ocean, connects Hong Kong to the east, and connects Zhuhai and Macao to the west. It is the first large-scale cross-sea traffic project jointly built by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. It is 55 kilometers long and is the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world.

    During the construction of this bridge, our company supplied two products:
    CST728 reinforced steel corrosion meter and CST616 cathodic protection meter. They were developed by our company and mounted on the bridge pier.

    Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is in strong marine corrosive environment. Through the corrosion monitoring devices, the chemical characteristics of the concrete, the corrosion state of the reinforced steel, and the cathodic protection effect etc are monitored in real-time with data being stored in the database, so as to give the corrosion protection state and the sacrificial anode consumption state of the bridge.
